What is Giclée printing?
‘Giclée’ refers to an advanced form of printing which uses pigment based, archival quality inks. Produced on advanced inkjet printers, this method is designed for fine art printing – that is to say, high quality reproductions of fine art pieces originally created in a traditional medium.
The depth and vibrancy of colour that can be achieved using Giclée is ideal for artists selling reproductions of their original artwork because the printer can pick up minute details (brushstrokes, subtle gradients, etc.) that a regular printer would not be able to.
Giclée is also great for digital artists because your colours and small details are guaranteed to stay as vibrant and bold as they look on the screen for years to come.

How do you make your prints?
Giclée prints are printed on a large format inkjet printer to ensure the maximum levels of quality. We use archival standard inks which create bright and vibrant colours and are guaranteed to last for 100 years. Smaller posters can be printed on this machine if required, but it does increase the price.
Why do you need a high-resolution image?
The benefit of the Giclée printer is that it’s able to create near-perfect reproductions of fine detail and rich colours. If you supply us with a poor quality image, there won’t be any fine detail to reproduce and so the extra expense of this technique will be wasted. If you need any advice on how to get higher resolution images, feel free to get in touch.
Can you do the prints to custom sizes?
Yes. We can print at any size you like up to 1m x 3.2m. Under size just choose Custom Size and then enter the size required.
What if I have several different designs?
We can print as many different designs as you like. Just order the total amount of each size you require, and then upload the files at checkout.
How long will my giclée prints last?
When properly cared for, giclée prints can last for decades without fading or losing quality. However, giclée prints use waterbased inks and so are not suitable for outdoor use.
Supplying Your Own Design
Bleed is the extra area added around the edge of your artwork that will be trimmed off after printing. It ensures colours, images, and backgrounds run right to the edge of the finished page with no unwanted white borders. For most print jobs, we recommend adding a 3mm bleed on all sides and keeping important text and logos safely inside the trim area
Please supply your design as a PDF file.
