Turnaround times are from supply of correct, print-ready artwork, or if we are doing the design, approval of proofs. Working days are Monday - Friday and exclude bank holidays.
How many pages does my booklet have?
When we talk about pages, we are referring to the number of sides of paper in your booklet, not the 'leaves' or 'spreads'.
Why can I only have 4/8/12 etc. pages?
Booklets are made up from sheets of paper that are printed both sides and folded in half. A single sheet of paper folded in half will make 4 pages, so all booklets must be a multiple of 4 pages long.
Can the cover for my stapled booklet be a different material to the contents?
It can indeed! Just select your desired finish for your inners and cover from the drop down boxes above. A 300gsm silk cover always works well and this will feel noticeably different to the contents pages no matter what thickness or finish you select.
How do I provide my designs for a stapled booklet?
Our Artwork Supply Guide should contain everything you need to know for providing designs. Please make sure that you clearly display the desired order for your pages. Also be aware that page spreads may not line up perfectly, though we keep them as tight as possible. If you are unsure of anything, please contact us.
Do you offer any other types of binding?
Yes! We also offer perfect bound, case bound and wiro bound booklets and books. Please contact us with your requirements or request a quote.
Is it possible to get a proof sent over before going to print?
Yes. we always make sure our customers receive a high-quality PDF proof of their work before anything goes to print. We want to make sure you are happy with your end product so if there are any errors or changes that need making, we like to make sure that they are caught nice and early. We can supply printed proofs on request, but there is a charge for this to cover the production, postage and packaging.
Please supply your design as a PDF file, with 3mm bleed. Trim marks are optional.
Please allow a minimum 3mm safe-zone inside the trim line, which should contain no text or other critical elements.
Please ensure all fonts are embedded or text is converted to outlines/curves.
